👋Welcome to Rumi

Rumi™ is the industry’s first “No DB” platform, purpose-built for applications that must process massive data volumes in tight time windows. It delivers fully durable, fault-tolerant, and linearly scalable execution without ever placing a database in the critical path.

Traditional architectures split compute and storage, forcing data read-write operations to traverse the network, incur disk I/O, and undergo costly data transformations, creating a hard bottleneck not only for throughput and latency but also for developer agility, hampering innovation and slowing down release cycles. To work around this, teams bolt on caches, sharded clusters, event‐stream pipelines, and custom ETL layers - each adding operational complexity, consistency headaches, and cost.

Rumi removes that bottleneck by collapsing data and compute into a single distributed fabric in which every node holds and processes its own data locally, stored durably and redundantly but read-writeable at memory speeds - giving you predictable, reliable high-volume processing without the DB-and-network detour.

Rumi applications run as a mesh of micro dataservices - enterprise-grade, hyper-converged nodes that provide data & compute together (no separate database hops), built-in messaging (request-reply, stream processing and fire-and-forget inter-node message passing), and full ACID guarantees via write-ahead logging and snapshots. These collaborating nodes execute business logic and manage data with transactional consistency, delivering linear scale, rock-solid durability, and fault tolerance - all while keeping development and deployment simple.

Rumi implements all non-functional capabilities of the application, leaving the developer free to focus on domain and business logic. Rumi applications are very easy to build with “zero-plumbing” business logic and can be deployed, run, and managed on virtualized or bare-metal infrastructure, in public or private clouds, on-premise, or on edge and hybrid environments using a single, unified deployment and management model and toolset.

Welcome to the era of “No DB” infrastructure. Welcome to Rumi.
