# Deployment

This section covers what has to be true of the environment a Rumi container starts in, as distinct from operating it once it is running.

## Overview

Most deployment concerns are handled by the platform without configuration. The topics here are the ones where a choice has to be made, usually because several containers share something, or because a step has to happen before the process starts rather than during it.
